Capacity Building Support from PROGRESS-TT to ÖzÜ TTO

ÖzÜ TTO has chosen to receive capacity building mentorship within the scope of PROGRESS-TT Project funded by HORIZON2020. PROGRESS-TT stands for ‘Public Research Organisation GRowing Europe through best practice SolutionS for Technology Transfer’ and coordinated by PERA Consulting. The network will give mentorship to 30 TTOs in 2016 and 2017 with the aim of increasing their capacity for them securing more financing while commercialization of research results.

In January 2016, ÖzÜ TTO succeeded to become one of the 15 TTOs chosen under PROGRESS-TT Capacity Building Call. Besides Özyeğin University, Koç University, Akdeniz University and Ege University from Turkey were chosen to receive this support. The program is expected to be one-to-one intense mentorship and to last for 12 days.

First meeting of the project was held on June 1, 2016, in Milan, Italy. During the meeting, ÖzÜ TTO had the chance to discuss its needs and a possible road map with its mentor Jon Wulff Petersen.
