Turkey's Largest Invention Fair ISIF Honors Özyeğin University's Inventor Faculty with an Award

Being a research university that has adopted entrepreneurship, innovativeness and sustainability as its vision, Özyeğin University attended the Istanbul International Inventions Fair, ISIF ‘17, one of Turkey’s major invention fairs. Associate Prof. Gül Bahar Başım-Doğan, and Assistant Prof. Özkan Bebek, the inventor faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Özyeğin University, and the Ph.D. Candidate Zeynep Özdemir Güler were invited to the fair as inventors by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. The team was honored by the “Silver Medal” in recognition of their invention “Robotic Arm for Processing the Surfaces of Multidimensional Objects Using Nano Technology”. The invention developed by the OzU faculty was also selected by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office as one of the three inventions to be showcased at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva from March 29 to April 2, among all other inventions represented Turkey at ISIF ‘17.
