Sustainable Blue Economy Partnershi

The vision of the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership, a European partnership under the Horizon Europe Program, is to design, lead and support a just and inclusive transition to a regenerative, resilient and sustainable blue economy. This EU Partnership aims to accelerate the needed transformation towards a climate-neutral, sustainable, productive and competitive blue economy by 2030, while creating and supporting the conditions for a sustainable ocean for people by 2050.

 

Application Attachments

This second co-funded call aims to support transnational research and innovation projects addressing one of the following four priority areas:

  • Digital Twins of the Ocean at regional sub-basin scale
  • Blue economy sectors, development of maritime multi-use infrastructures
  • Regional planning and management of marine uses 
  • Blue Biological Resources 

 

It brings together national and regional financial resources through the participation of 38 financing institutions from 26 countries (20 member states, 5 associated countries and 1 third country) and a contribution from the European Union.

 

Budget: € 160,000

Duration: 36 months
