Applications for the 100th Anniversary TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards

In 2023, by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK); The 100th Anniversary Science, Special, Service and Encouragement Awards will be awarded in four categories.

 

 

Science Award: It is given to scientists who have made significant contributions to science at the international level with their studies in our country.

 

Special Award: The Science Award is given to living scientists, citizens of the Republic of Turkey, who have contributed to science at an international level with their studies abroad.

 

Service Award: It is given to people who have made outstanding services to the development of science and technology in our country. Scientists who are not alive may also be nominated for the Service Award.

 

Encouragement Award: It is given to scientists residing in Turkey, who have proven that they have the qualifications to make significant contributions to science at an international level in the future with their studies, and who do not exceed the age of 40 on the first day of the year in which the award is given.

 

One year is added to the age limit of 40 for each birth of female applicants.

 

 

Candidates for the Encouragement Award can apply personally or be nominated. Individual applications cannot be made for the Science, Special and Service Awards, it is necessary to be nominated.  

 

Persons Authorized to Nominate for Awards:

 

• Those who have received TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service Award or TÜBİTAK-TWAS Science Award in the past

• Higher Education Council (YÖK)

• Turkish Academy of Sciences Council

• Senates of Universities

• The highest decision-making bodies of public and private sector institutions and organizations operating in scientific and technological fields

• TÜBİTAK R&D and R&D Facilitation Units Board of Directors and TÜBİTAK Research Groups Executive Committees (in their own fields of activity)
