TUBITAK ARDEB 1001-UDAP National Earthquake Research Programme is Open for Applications

In our country, TÜBİTAK and AFAD provide support for science and technology-based projects to combat frequent disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides. While TÜBİTAK promotes projects covering the preparation, occurrence, and aftermath of earthquakes, AFAD has published Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plans and initiated the National Earthquake Research Program. This collaboration can lead to significant results in determining earthquake risk reduction strategies and raising public awareness. In this context, TÜBİTAK and AFAD have launched a special call for proposals titled "1001-UDAP National Earthquake Research Programme Joint Call" with a co-financing model.

Scope of the Call for Proposals:

• Geodynamic Research and Socio-Economic, Societal, and Environmental Impacts of Earthquakes
• Digital Technologies and Devices for Earthquake Preparedness
• Construction Models and Waste Management for Earthquake Preparedness
• Scenario, Prediction, and Analysis Studies for Earthquake Management

Project Duration: Up to 24 months

Deadline: April 1, 2024

Budget: ₺ 1,650,000
