Assistant Prof. Berna Zengin Arslan received the Science Academy’s Young Scientists Program Award (BAGEP)

Assistant Prof. Berna Zengin Arslan, a faculty member of the Faculty of Social Sciences, was honored as one of the few social scientists bestowed with the BAGEP scholarship award in 2015. This year, nine awards were presented in  Social Sciences fields. Our faculty member, Berna Zengin Arslan, claimed the only award presented for Sociology.

The Science Academy launched the Young Scientists Programme in 2013 in order to encourage young scientist to conduct “good science” and recognize the best examples. In its third year, the program intends to award prestigous scholarships to the most promising and talented young scholars to support their research projects. To date, the Young Scientist Award Programme presented 20 awards in 2013, 43 in 2014, and 42 in 2015.
