The 2022 Project Call for MATRA and Human Rights Programs, which will support projects within the scope of human rights and rule of law, has been opened. 

Who can apply?

  • Local NGOs
  • Non-profit educational institutions
  • Semigovernmental organizations 
  • Municipalities 

 Priority Areas for MATRA Fund:

  • Law, legislation and the judiciary
  • Public administration and good governance
  • Public order and law enforcement
  • Media (freedom, literacy and pluralism)
  • The workings of (parliamentary) democracy
  • Building resilient (civil) societies

  • Freedom of expression and internet freedom
  • Freedom of religion and belief
  • Equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and intersex (LGBTI)
  • Equal rights for women and girls
