MSCA Innovative Training Networks (ITN) Call

The ITN Call brings together different academic and non-academic (industrial organizations, NGOs, etc.) organizations from more than one country to develop projects for the training of young researchers who have not received their Ph.D. On this occasion, experienced researchers have the opportunity to open a research position in their institutions and to conduct research with international researchers funded by the European Commission.

Who can apply:
The project proposals that can be submitted to the ITN Call can be in 3 different ways:

• European Training Network (ETN): A consortium of 3 different academies and non-academia organizations from at least three different EU Member States and Associated Countries is expected to prepare a research and training program for new researchers.

• European Industrial Doctorates (EID): The doctorate program, which will be formed by bringing together at least one academy and an industrial organization from at least 2 different EU Member or Associated Countries, aims to train researchers at the beginning of their careers in the fields required by the industry. At least one of the partner organizations must be able to award a doctoral degree. Researchers employed under the program are required to be registered in the doctoral program of the academic partner of the project but spend more than 50% of their time in the industrial partner.

• European Joint Doctorates (EJD): It is aimed to give joint, double or multiple doctoral degrees within the scope of the international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary doctorate program which will be formed by 3 different organizations from at least 3 different EU Member and Associated Countries. Partner organizations should be able to provide valid doctoral degrees.

Program Budget: 530 million Euros

A total of 445 million Euros of the total program budget will be used for ‘’European Training Networks (ETN)’’ panel. This panel will be organized by a consortium of at least three different EU Member States and three different academic and non-academic organizations from Associated Countries. ‘’The European Industrial Doctorates (EID)’’ and ‘’European Joint Doctorates (EJD)’’ panels will have a total budget of 85 million Euros.
