Our Academicians' Invention Receives the Gold Medal and Jury Special Award During the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

 

In March 2017, our inventor faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering participated in the ISIF ‘17, one of the most renowned exhibitions for inventions in Turkey, where they not only received the Silver Medal, but were also invited to Geneva in recognition of their invention “The Robotic Arm Employed in the Method of Processing Multidimensional Objects Using Nano Technology”. This time, our faculty received both the Gold Medal and the Jury Special Award with their invention during the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, which took place between March 29 to April 2.



The invention was developed jointly by our Mechanical Engineering faculty members Associate Prof. Gül Bahar Başım Doğan, Assistant Prof. Özkan Bebek, Ph.D. Candidate Zeynep Özdemir Güler, and our Master’s Graduate Mr. Sabri Orçun Orhan. The patent was one of the three inventions selected to be exhibited during the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. The Ph.D. Candidate Zeynep Özdemir Güler represented our University during the awards ceremony and received the award on behalf of the OzU faculty.
