TÜBA GEBİP (The Young Scientists Award Programme)
The Young Scientists Award Programme (GEBİP) aims to support young and outstanding scientists who are at the stage of establishing their own research teams in Turkey after completing their post-doctoral research activities.
Application Conditions
The Young Scientists Award Programme (GEBİP) aims to support under 40 years of age and for women scientists who gave birth, one year for each birth is added to the age limit.
Documents Required for Application
- GEBIP Application Form,
- CV and Publication List
- PhD Thesis
- Three-Year Prospective Research Project Proposal and Work Program Submitted/ Proposed for the Award
- If any, the letter of the rector of the relevant university or the nominating Academy member and the “Candidate Proposal Form”,
- Reference letters (at least by three persons) related to the candidate (It should be sent by the person who wrote the reference letters (in Turkish or English) separately from the application file to the Academy President by e-mail until the application deadline.),
- One colorful portrsit photograph
- Documentation (from the university or institution where he/she works) that he/she works and conducts research in Turkey,
- A certified copy of the identity card of the children of the female candidates who will submit a child for the age condition, approved by the institution where they work.
- TÜBA-GEBİP Commitment. (Commitment to start working and research in Turkey within 6 months if resident abroad.)
Amount of Reward: A period of three years with 50.000 TL per year, in these three years recipients are given 15.000 TL per year to be for their PhD students’ thesis activities
