Öznur Kaptan completed her undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University and earned her master’s degree in Energy Conversion and Management at Offenburg University in Germany. During her graduate studies, she worked for a total of 1.5 years at Alstom Power in Switzerland and Fichtner Consulting in Germany.

Between 2005 and 2013, she worked as a Senior Project Engineer at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization – International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies (UNIDO-ICHET), where she contributed to the development of renewable energy-integrated hydrogen energy application projects.
From 2017 to 2025, she served as the Grant Projects Manager at the Technology Transfer Office of Boğaziçi University, where she played a key role in the development and management of national and international grant projects.

As part of her professional development, she obtained the Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) designation in 2021, which is recognized in over 60 countries, and in 2022, she earned the “Specialisation in Planning European Research Projects” certificate from ILM. She also holds a PMI-compliant Project Management Competency Certificate.
