CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION GRANT PROGRAMME (CCAGP)

Funded by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to be conducted by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanism support "Climate Change Adaptation Grant Program" was opened under the call for grant applications for projects.

CCAGP has been designed to support implementation of climate change adaptation actions at local and regional level in Turkey. CCAGP targets to improve resilience of communities, protection of natural resources and ecosystems and enhance adaptation capacity of vulnerable social groups as well as cities and economic sectors.

Who can apply?
Lot 1:
NGO’s, municipalities, local authorities, universities or research institution/centres, development agencies, non-profit unions, cooperatives, representative organizations of businesses and private sector at local level such as chambers, professional organizations.
Lot 2:
Municipalities, local authorities, universities or research institution/centres.

Priority Areas
Priority 1: Development of local climate action plans and strategies and/or preparation of decision-making tools (modelling, impact and vulnerability analysis, etc.)
Priority 2: Avoiding and reducing exposure to climate change related risks (water scarcity, droughts, forest fires, floods, extreme weather events, etc.)
Priority 3: Enhancing resilience of sectors impacted by climate change
Priority 4: Enhancing the exchange of adaptation know-how and experience among organizations and cities within Turkey and/or the EU for creation and/or implementation of innovative climate change adaptation technologies and systems.

Project Duration: 12- 18 months

Project Budget: Maximum 150.000 Euro (Lot 1)
Maximum 450.000 Euro (Lot 2)

Funding Rate: 50% - 90%

Deadline for Preliminary Application: 30.11.2020
