UNESCO- International Fund for Cultural Diversity

The International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD), a key instrument of international cooperation and assistance for the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (2005), launches its 13th call for funding requests.

 

Its purpose is to foster the emergence of dynamic cultural sectors in developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention, by strengthening the means to create, produce, distribute and have access to diverse cultural goods and services. As a multi-donor fund, the IFCD promotes South-South and North-South cooperation, while contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and gender equality.

 

Eligible Countries: Parties to the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions recognized as developing economies and least developed countries according to the official classification of UNCTAD, and included in the list of recipients of official development assistance of the OECD.

 

Eligible Areas: Audio-Visual/Cinema, Design, Media Arts, Music, Performing Arts, Publishing, Visual Arts

 

Project Duration: 12 to 24 months

 

Project Launch Date: April 2023 at the earliest

 

Project Budget: Maximum US$ 100,000

 

Submission Deadline: June 15, 2022
