WE RECEIVED 6 AWARDS FROM ISTANBUL INTERNATIONAL INVENTION FAIR 2023!

The 8th İstanbul International Invention Fair 2023 (ISIF '23), hosted by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and organized in cooperation with the International Federation of Inventors' Association (IFIA), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO), was held between April 27 and May 1, 2023. As Özyeğin University Technology Transfer Office (ÖzÜ TTO), we took part in ISIF '23 held at Atatürk Airport as part of the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival.

As ÖzÜ TTO, we attended the fair with 8 patents and 3 utility models and our six patents have been awarded. Asst. Prof. Ramazan Ünal and Ege Gediksiz's "Walkmech: A Transfemoral Prosthesis for Walking, Sitting-Up, Stair Climbing" patent received a gold medal award. Asst. Prof. İsmail Arı's "A System and Method for the Management of Neural Network Models" patent and Asst. Prof. Ramazan Ünal and Ege Gediksiz's "A Test Platform System" patent were awarded silver medals. In addition, 3 different patents owned by Özyeğin University have won bronze medals, and information about the patents and inventors are as follows:

- Prof. Güney Güven Yapıcı, Görkem Şimşek/A Guiding Kit for Catheters

- Assoc. Prof. Zeynep Başaran Bundur, Ali Amiri/Cement Based Compositions with Improved Rheological Properties and Methods for Their Production

- Asst. Prof. Bülent Erkmen/Adherence-Free Post-Tensioned Precast Wall System for Buildings
